Why It Matters
Why It Matters
Malnutrition isn't just about hunger— It's about a child's ability to grow, learn, and thrive. In Chhattisgarh, where nearly 1 in 3 children under five is underweight and over 34% are stunted, the effects of poor nutrition are lifelong. It limits brain development, weakens immunity, and reduces school performance — locking children and their families into a cycle of poverty and poor health.
For children aged 4 to 13, these are the foundation years — A time when the body and brain grow rapidly. If children do not receive the nutrients they need during this critical window, the consequences are often irreversible.
At The Tiffin Project, we believe that simple, local, and consistent interventions — Like a protein-rich snack and nutrition education—can make a life-changing difference. By working closely with anganwadi centers and families, we ensure that support reaches the children who need it most.
This isn't just a health issue — It's a matter of dignity, opportunity, and justice. When children are well-nourished, they smile more, play more, learn more—and they dream bigger. That's why we're here.
Because every child deserves a full belly, a strong body, and a real chance to grow.
